These where very powerful bows that shot a bolt by locking the string in place then shooting it. Some crossbows even couldn\u2019t be cocked by man so the crossbow cocked them.

They usually used them against castle that had a moat surrounding them. They would sometimes put burning materials in their catapults to launch at the castles. Sometimes the soldiers would use young trees for catapults.

They also had a coat of arms on their shields to tell what knight they are. The archers would also have very large shields that they would place down while they reloaded.

The Scimitar - The scimitar was a type of sword most commonly associated with the Saracens in the Holy Land who fought against the Crusaders.
